We’re continuing our road trip through the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, beginning with the vibrant brunch culture of Wuzhong. From there, we make our way to Yinchuan before crossing into the vast, open landscapes of Inner Mongolia—one of China’s least populated provinces. Culturally, it shares deep roots with Mongolia; traditional customs are still alive here, and road signs often include Mongolian script—something you won’t even find in Mongolia today. Our journey takes us across the sweeping Tengger Desert, where we pause to visit a small nomadic village nestled among the dunes.
